Don’t let the internet become this:
For this is what it will be like, if we don’t stop it.
These guys, and gal, are crazy, well normally the funny type crazy. On the clip below they are a bit more serious, because of an issue that will stop you from reading these lines unless you pay, that is on top of what you already pay for an internet connection.
The money counters, energy producers, private military and prison interests, industrial food and water producers, chemical producers, the corporate media, etc. don’t want you and me to communicate freely without their knowledge. In their minds, our thoughts are worth a lot of money and they want us to pay. But more so, they have realized that a citizenry that can freely communicate across the land is a citizenry to fear.
The issue of net neutrality is much more important than a 50 year old Peter Pan, a fat chick in a Gem Sweater, or a guy in a Tron costume. It is about the ability of the citizenry, in a world so overwhelmed with choices and especially with so many products, medications, procedures, etc. being rammed down our throats, to have the tools to research, study and learn about what is happening.
When television was first marketed it was declared by corporate interests to be the dawn of a new era of knowledge and ideas. We have seen what that’s become, a tool for companies to sell us crap. And that is what they want to do to the internet. We cannot allow corporations to push governments to restrict the content of the internet or to allow internet providers to block sites, no matter how silly they may seem to some.
The internet is dangerous for the fascist elements that seem to be taking over so many countries nowadays.
